History

Swarovski crystals were brought into existence by Daniel Swarovski, son of a glass cutter. In his young age, he worked in his father's small factory where in the year 1892 he invented a special crystal cutting machine. This machine transfigured the crystal cutting process. He then established Swarovski Company in 1895 at Wattens, Tyrol. The company specialized in creating exclusive crystal decorative pieces for home decor. Since that year there was no looking back. Next break through was year 1956 when crystal got the colors and alluring Aurora Borealis crystal upshot was produced with the cooperation of French Designer Christian Dior. Later, year 1976 brought the famous silver crystal collection. Finally in 1977, company tried its hands on jewelry and fashion initiating with United States of America.
